What is upcycling?
Everybody knows recycling - collecting and re-using materials.

However, in order to be re-cycled, materials have to be molten or shreddered. The quality of re-cycled materials is therefore always lower than the quality of the original materials. There is no way around the Second Law of thermodynamics...

Have you ever felt a sense of regret when a large number of items that still might have some value has to go into a recycling bin? Thought of what to do with it - giving it a new life instead? This might be your first step into upcycling.

Upcycling means: to think about intelligent re-design, re-manufacturing, keeping as much of the original material quality as possible, and trying to create both beautiful and useful things.

Here are a few instructions how to make use of gift paper, toilet rolls, food packages etc. Nice for rainy afternoons!
